While you're sitting in the comfort of your chair, staring into your smackingly awesome (and not to mention expensive) computer monitor, please take some time to watch this video about the ethnic Hmong Lao refugees . It's a short clip, only about 6 minutes long. However, I must warn you that it does contain one or two graphic images and verbal descriptions. Personally, I felt really depressed for a relatively long period of time after watching that video. But if you're feeling brave or alternatively, have never been able to see what a blessed life you lead, this video will definitely change your perspective on a whole lot of things.

After you're done with the video or even if you have decided not to watch it, please proceed to this website to sign a petition regarding the persecution and cruel treatment of Southeast Asian refugees and to learn more about this shocking situation. It might seem like a rather feeble attempt to do something about the sorry plight of approximately 400 000 people, but since it doesn't take more than 10 minutes to do your part in saving the world, why not?

This certainly puts life into perspective, doesn't it? While you're worrying about obtaining the illusive 4As for your A-levels so that you can earn big bucks in the future, little children in Loas are having their intestines ripped out.
